Rose Emily Bermudez

Rose Emily Bermudez is a devoted Christian and has dedicated her life to mission.  She is a graduate of the University of Cartagena in Business Administration; in theology from the University of the South; and graphic design with a minor in photography from the Institute of Arts in Atlanta, "Creative Circus".

She worked for 8 years in the Division of International Mission of the Mission Board of the PCUS, and in 1984 became the Staff Associate for Volunteers in Mission U.S.A. with the PCUSA.  In 1989 she became the Director of Communications of First Presbyterian Church, a position that she held for 10 years.  She is now the Mission Staff Liaison for the church and as Co-founder and Executive Director of Childspring International; she has served the organization from its inception.    Her passion for mission and children has given her the strength to wear both hats.  

 

Christina Porter

 Before coming to Childspring International, Christina Porter worked in a number of corporate environments from finance to software to environmental engineering.  Her interests include international travel, hosting international students, and all kinds of puzzles.  Christina started volunteering at Childspring in June 2001 and climbed up the non-profit ladder; Christina became the USA Director in 2003. In 2007, Christina job title changed to Program Director after the implementation of our strategic plan. As Program Director, her talents of problem solving, multi-tasking, and general global knowledge have been instrumental in growing our ministry to reach as many children around the world as possible.

Christian Young is an Atlanta native and a 2007 graduate of Auburn University where she obtained a Bachelor’s of Arts in Communication with a minor in Spanish. While in Auburn, she interned with non-profit and was drawn to the mission and purpose behind Childspring International.  She joined Childspring as the Resource/Event Coordinator, which involves the organization of many of their top fundraising activities and recruiting volunteers and interns. She feels humbled to be a small part of an impressive organization with such a compelling cause.

Tashaundra S. Willis attended Albany State University; graduating in May of 2007 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Management with a Healthcare Administration concentration. She spent the fall of 2007 interning at Childspring International as an Administrative intern learning the inner workings of a nonprofit organization. In January of 2007, Tashaundra became part of the Childspring staff as a Financial Development/Marketing Associate. She now works in raising funds and awareness for Childspring International.

Contact to refer a child/children from the Caribbean region

After completing a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Georgia Southern University, Jessica Moore came to Childspring International as a medical program intern in May of 2007. During her summer internship, she spent time researching doctors, hospitals and rare diagnosis that were referred to Childspring for treatment. A good amount of her work also entailed writing solicitation letters to doctors and hospitals that would potentially accept cases on a charity basis. In August of 2007, Jessica became part of the Childspring International staff, as the Caribbean Case Manager.  She now manages all of the children coming from the Caribbean countries starting from the initial referral of a case, continuing throughout their treatment plan and following up with scholarships and appropriate aftercare.

After graduating from University of Virginia with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Religious Studies in May of 2008, Caroline returned to her hometown of Atlanta to work with Childspring. As the Americas Case Manager she follows all the cases from Central and South America from the initial application to the actual surgery in the US to the return home. She is very excited to have found a job that combines her passions for medicine, children and Latin America.
