Childspring
International Takes it up a Notch
Nonprofit saw record-breaking growth for 2007, on
target to repeat in 2008
ATLANTA – July 1, 2008 - Childspring International,
a 501c(3) nonprofit serving children with medical conditions
worldwide, announced results from its annual report. Childspring
saw record-breaking growth both in terms of fundraising
as well as the number of children helped by its services.
In 2007, Childspring served 109 children from 16 countries.
This is 10% more children treated than in 2006. Of these
109 children were served through the non-profit’s medical
program, while an additional 100 children were served through
the nutritional program and 58 through our scholarship program.
Childspring raised $134,000 in November and December, exceeding
its goal of $100,000. In 2007, general contributions totaled
$308,984 as compared to $224,516 in 2006.
“With the support of the local community, Childspring continues
to be able to help children who are most in need,” said
Rose Emily Bermudez, executive director of Childspring International.
“Our goal is to continue this growth with predictable recurring
revenue combined with a steady increase in revenue through
events. With a new strategic plan finalized in 2007, we
are in the process of ensuring our organization is prepared
for a dramatic growth plan so we can make a difference in
the lives of even more children around the world.”
Childspring partnered with more than 50 doctors and with
more than 21 different hospitals and medical facilities
domestically and abroad. Childspring also partnered with
10 charitable and for-profit organizations in order to meet
the requirements of helping those in need. A comprehensive
list of these can be found in the annual report, www.childspringintl.org.
In 2007, 87 percent of revenue originated from donations
and 13 percent from events.
In 2008, Childspring’s goal will be to serve 250 children
through the medical program and 100 additional children
through the nutritional program.
