Refer a Child
At Childspring International, the children we serve
come from all over the world. So how do we find these cases
that are oftentimes continents away?
Our eyes and ears for outreach can be anyone. The majority
of the children we receive are referred to us through the
following: Doctors who travel overseas or receive a request
from overseas Church members who travel on a mission trip
Overseas hospitals that request for a child to be treated
in the U.S.
Parents who are seeking treatment for their child. Friends
of the child/family who are seeking treatment opportunities
Childspring International Coordinators It is through these
dedicated individuals that we are able to reach out across
borders to help a child find healing. Numerous dreams have
become realities through one small voice speaking out on
behalf of children who cannot speak for themselves.
Childspring Refer-A-Child Criteria
Childspring International’s purpose is to serve children
under the age of 18 seeking medical care unavailable in
the child’s home country. Childspring is only able to treat
conditions for which there is a surgical intervention. We
cannot accept patients with conditions such as cancer, motor
and/or mental retardation, and chronic conditions for which
there is no surgical intervention. We are also unable to
accept overly complex multi-disciplinary cases, such as
organ transplants, that require extensive follow up care.
Any questions or concerns can be directed to the appropriate
case manager.
If
you are interested in referring a child for medical treatment
through Childspring International, please complete and return
the official Refer-A-Child Application to:

The completion of these documentswill involve the child,
the child’s parents or legal guardians, and the child’s
physician in his or her home country. It is a time-consuming
process to obtain all of the documentation needed, but once
we have this information we are able to evaluate the child’s
condition.
Following the evaluation we refer their case to doctors
and hospitals in the U.S. The acceptance of a child depends
on the willingness of doctors and hospitals to work with
us on that particular case. We often get questions about
our policies and procedures in bringing a child to the U.S.
