Foundation Pequeno Corazon (“Little Heart Foundation”) in Manizales, Colombia provides heart surgery for children with congenital heart defects. Just $300 is able to cover the cost of the entire surgery as well as any associated needs, such as travel from Manizales to Bogota for the surgery and accommodations for a parent to accompany the child. Through October, 2009 Childspring was able to fund heart surgeries for 16 children. We are hoping to be able to fund even more in 2010.
